Thank You NSET
October 15, 2006Our training at the St. Luke's Medical Center is composed of 62 registered nurses from all over the Philippines. It was only the second day when our moderator Ma'am Kaye announced the holding of the election of the officers of the first NSET Batch under the Division of Nursing - Department of Clinical Advancement. Brigette (Perpetual Help College - Manila Batch 05) nominated me as president. There were no other nominations presented. The moderator asked the trainees to stand if they are giving their vote for me. All except two stood. They have given their own nominations for the post. And so there are three nominees for president. When i introduced myself everyone just started shouting "No Retake!." It was funny. I told them that i go for no retake too. During the vote, i received an overwhelming majority with only around 15 votes not counted in my name. Then i assumed the post with the other officers elected: Archie (FEU - Batch 03) as vice president; Jenny (Trinity - Batch 05) as treasurer.
